Seahawks at Cowboys 1/5/19 - NFL Picks & Predictions

Last Updated: 08/08/2019 at 6:17 AM ET

AT&T Stadium will host a Saturday night NFC Wild Card matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and Dallas Cowboys.

The Seahawks won ten games during the regular season and are led by QB Russell Wilson, who threw for 35 touchdowns. On Saturday, Seattle clinched the number five seed with a 27-24 home victory versus Arizona. Sebastian Janikowski nailed a 33-yard field goal as time expired and Chris Carson rushed for 122 yards for the Seahawks.

Through sixteen games, Seattle ranks first in the league in rushing offense and is scoring 26.8 points on average. Dallas will be up to the challenge with a defense that ranks fifth against the run and allows 20.3 points.
The Dallas Cowboys also won ten games and clinched the NFC East Division title to earn the number four seed. Ezekiel Elliott finished the season with 1,434 yards on the ground and six rushing touchdowns for the Cowboys. On Sunday, Dallas played their starters during a meaningless 36-35 victory at New York. Dak Prescott threw the game-winning touchdown to Cole Beasley on a fourth-and-15 with 1:12 remaining to lift the Cowboys.

For the season, Dallas ranks 22nd in the league in total offense and is scoring 21.2 points per game. Seattle counters with a middle of the pack defense that gives up 353.3 yards and 21.7 points on average.

Dallas RB Ezekiel Elliott (rest) did not play in the season finale and should be in line for another big game. The Cowboys offense improved in a significant way when they acquired WR Amari Cooper from Oakland and Seattle QB Russell Wilson has the ability to lead his team to score points in bunches. Take the over in a closely contested game on Saturday. Final Score Prediction, Dallas Cowboys win but like the over total the best 27-24.
