The Seattle Seahawks visit Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California on Saturday to play the Los Angeles Chargers. The Seahawks fell to 1-1 in the preseason following a 25-19 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. The Seahawks defense looked strong during the first half, while on offense Russell Wilson threw for 82 yards including a 33-yard completion to Jaron Brown.

The Chargers fell to 0-2 in the preseason following a 19-17 loss at the hands of the New Orleans Saints. Philip Rivers did not play for Los Angeles but is expected to see action on Saturday. Cardale Jones threw for 111 yards and one touchdown for the Chargers while Troymaine Pope came up big on special teams with an 81-year punt return for a touchdown. Paxton Lynch leads Seattle‘s quarterbacks with 109 yards passing and one touchdown, while Russell Wilson has thrown for 82 yards. Xavier Hill leads all Seattle rushers with 42 yards and Chris Carson, who is expected to start for Seattle has 25 yards all in game 2, while the top receiver is Jaron Brown with 52 yards.

Cardale Jones leads all Los Angeles quarterbacks with 158 yards passing and one touchdown. The top running back for the Chargers through two games is Justin Jackson with 55 yards, while Austin Ekeler has 40 yards. The leading receiver for the Chargers is Artavis Scott with 67 yards.

Seattle wants to use Chris Carson and Rashaad Penny more often in passing plays out of the backfield and could work on that strategy during the game when Russell Wilson and the starters play. Seattle’s first defense looked strong last week. The Chargers will have Philip Rivers under center for the first half at least, but continue to search for the best running back to play in place of holdout Melvin Gordon. Take the Seahawks on the road. Final Score Prediction, Seattle Seahawks win and cover ATS 23-17.
