San Francisco 49ers - 2021 NFL Season Preview & Win Total Predictions

The San Francisco 49ers head into the 2021 season looking to turn things around following a 6-10 season led by injuries. Jimmy G will again be given the keys to a potent San Francisco offense led by one of the best running back corps in the league and all pro tight end George Kittle. San Francisco has an overwhelmingly talented set of running backs led by Raheem Mostert with rookie Trey Sermon expected to have an immediate impact on the season.

As far as the receivers go Brandon Aiyuk and a returning Deebo Samuel will be the primary targets for Jimmy G in the open field. George Kittle will again produce all pro numbers as the number one target inside the red zone. Scoring the ball should not be an issue for San Francisco if head coach Kyle Shanahan and his starting quarterback are on the same page.

The San Francisco defense is currently ranked 9th overall in the preseason looking to build on that number as several guys returned from injury. Most importantly for the SF defense all pro Nick Bosa will be back on the field after tearing his ACL in the 2020 season. Add in all pro linebacker Fred Warner and Dee Ford across from Bosa will make the San Francisco defense and elite 

San Francisco will be able to win games based on the abilities of their offense but this team will go as far as the defense takes it. San Francisco ranked 17th overall in scoring defense last season and will look to improve on those numbers were they returning defensive unit in 2021.
