The Baltimore Ravens are set to visit Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for a Week 3 preseason clash against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Baltimore Ravens come into this matchup with a 2-0 record, and they will be looking to continue their success after winning their recent game against the Green Bay Packers, 26-13. Rookie QB Trace McSorley is fighting for the backup QB spot, and he showed his inconsistency against the Packers as he connected on 8 of his 13 attempts for a total of 74 yards, 1 TD, and 1 interception. Chris Moore is fighting to get into the WR rotation this season, and he proved his worth with 54 yards and 1 TD.

The Baltimore Ravens have consistently been one of the best defensive teams in the NFL, and they have continued that success in the preseason as they have only allowed 13 points through 2 games. Rookie LB Otaro Alaka had a good performance against the Packers as he contributed 6 tackles and 2 TFL. LB Matthew Judon is looking to step into a bigger role this season, considering the departures on the defense, and he showed a flash of what he can do with 2 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 TFL. The Philadelphia Eagles come into this matchup with a 1-1 record, and they will be looking to continue their success after winning their recent game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, 24-10. Rookie QB Clayton Thorson played the whole game due to injuries, and he had an up and down performance as he connected on 16 of his 26 attempts for a total of 175 yards, 1 TD, and 1 interception. Greg Ward Jr. was one of the top targets for Thorson as he had a total of 42 receiving yards and 1 TD.

The Philadelphia Eagles had a solid game on the defensive side of the ball as they held the Jaguars to 3 points through 3 quarters. The Philadelphia Eagles were led by Alex Singleton as he contributed a team-high 6 tackles and 1 TFL. Daeshon Hall was in the Jaguars backfield a ton as the 2nd year DE contributed 2 sacks and 1 TFL. Aziz Shittu had a solid game on the defensive line as he pitched in a sack and 2 pass deflections.

The road team has had success when these two teams meet as they have covered the spread in 4 of their last 5 meetings. The Baltimore Ravens have had a solid preseason as they have played good defense as well as received production out of their young guys on the offensive side of the ball. The Eagles have lost 2 QBs through the first two preseason games which means rookie Clayton Thorson will continue to see extensive playing time. Thorson is still a young undeveloped QB as he wasn’t a guy that scouts were drooling over, and the Ravens defense should have a field day with the inexperienced arm. Final Score Prediction, Baltimore Ravens win and cover ATS 28-17.
