Ravens at Dolphins 9/8/19 - NFL Picks & Predictions

The Miami Dolphins will open up their week one game at home with the Baltimore Ravens in town. The Dolphins went 3-1 in the preseason with hopes that the momentum will spill over to this week. Miami has named veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick as the starting beating out Josh Rosen who will be ready to play at a moments notice. Fitzpatrick played in three of the four preseason games this season and threw for one touchdown with no interceptions. 

The Dolphins were part of a big deal right around cut day this season. Miami traded away two key players from the offensive side of the ball which include o-lineman Laremy Tunsil and WR Kenny Stills. The Dolphins got back a good number of high round draft picks. Miami last played the Ravens back in 2017 when they were blown out 40-0. 

The Baltimore Ravens went a perfect 4-0 during the preseason and looked good doing it. The Ravens won each of the four games by double digit points. Baltimore will start life with Joe Flacco. Lamar Jackson will be the starting quarterback and has two mobile QBs behind him with Robert Griffin III and Trace McSorley. 

The Ravens will give QB Lamar Jackson plenty of options this season as they kept 6 wide receivers on their 53 man roster. Veteran wide out Michael Floyd did not make the team this season. Baltimore carries a very young team this season and will really on their youth and remaining healthy.

The Baltimore Ravens are a road favorite heading into Miami for week one of action. Baltimore seems to a team building around their young players with long term success. The Dolphins have traded away some key pieces in return of future draft picks which leads this season questionable. The Ravens have owned this series in Miami in recent history and will do so again.
