Pittsburgh Steelers - 2022 NFL Season Preview and Wins Total Prediction

The Pittsburgh Steelers come into the 2022 season with a new outlook and a new quarterback under center. Ben Roethlisberger has retired leaving the Pittsburgh Steelers to veteran Mitch Trubisky and youngster Kenny Pickett. Trubisky is expected to be the starter in week one of the season, but Kenny Pickett could take over at any time for the Steelers.

Running back Najee Harris will again be the biggest piece in the Pittsburgh offense as the Steelers will work new quarterbacks into their system. Harris was one of the most worked running backs last year in his rookie season and is expected to carry the brunt of the load this year. Pittsburgh has a better offensive line going into this season making things easier on their stud back.

The Steelers also have a great young pair of receivers with Chase Claypool and Dionte Johnson expected to make leaps and bounds this season for the Steelers. Pittsburgh will also add in rookie George Pickens who will make an immediate impact for Pittsburgh.

Defensively Pittsburgh will find their biggest struggles as they are not near as deep on that side of the ball. The defensive line and line backers will be the core of the Pittsburgh defense as their secondary could be exposed early and often. Pittsburgh will need constant pressure from their line to give their defense a chance for success this season.

Despite losing a surefire future Hall of Famer quarterback Pittsburgh still has the weapons and young talent to find success this year. The Steelers have two quarterbacks capable of running the show and will most likely mix them both in at different times this season. With a star running back and a good group of receivers Pittsburgh will do enough to cover their defense leading to success in 2022. Take Pittsburgh to go over their season win total this season.
