NY Giants at Philadelphia Eagles 10/22/20 - NFL Picks & Predictions

In Thursday night NFL football action, the New York Giants will travel to Lincoln Financial Field to face the Philadelphia Eagles. The Giants have lost five of their first six games and are still in contention in the underachieving NFC Division race. On Sunday, New York stopped Washington on a two-point conversion attempt with less than a minute remaining to secure a 20-19 home victory. The Giants managed just 240 yards of total offense and took the lead on a 43-yard fumble recovery touchdown.

New York QB Daniel Jones struggled to move the ball through the air, but did rush for 74 yards. Darius Slayton scored the only offensive touchdown for the Giants on a 23-yard reception.

The Philadelphia Eagles have been ravaged by injuries and enter this contest with a 1-4-1 overall record. On Sunday, Philadelphia was stopped on a two-point conversion with less than two minutes remaining during a 30-28 road loss against Baltimore. The Eagles trailed by 17 points at halftime and gained 364 yards of total offense.

Philadelphia QB Carson Wentz rallied the team with 213 passing yards and two touchdowns. Miles Sanders rushed for 118 yards on just nine carries, before being forced out of the game with a knee injury.

New York RB Saquon Barkley tore his ACL and will miss the remainder of the season. The Eagles have so many injuries, especially on their offensive line including best receiving weapon TE Ertz. Take the Giants and the points on a short week in another ugly NFC East game. Final Score Prediction, Philadelphia Eagles win but fall well short ATS 24-23.
