NFL Week 7 – Early Injury Report

This past week was not nearly as hard on the star players when it came to injuries. Now, this does not mean that the players are coming to the game this week completely healthy as some players did get hurt, but none were as big as the Cowboys losing their starting quarterback.

  • Baltimore is coming to the game here with Anthony Averett listed as being out. He has a break in his shoulder and is one player that could have a long recovery period. The Ravens even have Mark Ingram II listed as questionable with a hurt ankle, but he could play in this game here.
  • Tyrel Dodson from the Bills is listed as questionable after injuring his hamstring in the last game against the Chiefs.
  • Carolina is looking at Juston Burris as potentially being out with injured ribs. As anyone who knows rib injuries are the worst and make it very difficult to move, let alone tackle.
  • Cincinnati will be hoping that Joe Mixon is able to come back this week. During the game on Sunday Mixon ended up injuring his ankle and left the game early.
  • With how banged up Baker Mayfield was against Pittsburgh it was only a matter of time before he would get hurt. Mayfield did make the early injury report with a rib injury, but should be back to play this week against the Bengals.
  • The Green Bay Packers may have some reservations about Parry Nickerson this week. This past Sunday in the loss to Tampa Bay the Packers ended up losing Nickerson to a hamstring injury.
  • Jacksonville is starting to experience a lot of the issues the Bengals had as Tyler Eifert landed on the injury list and is questionable with a neck injury.
  • Keisean Nixon is the corner back for the Raiders and he is ruled as questionable already for this week. That comes from a hip injury he suffered on Sunday.
  • The Chargers have a couple of question marks that may be ready to play, but could tire out quickly with Keenan Allen having back spasm type of issues and Joey Bosa having a bum ankle that could cost him some playing time.
  • Nick Easton is in the concussion protocols this year after having a concussion in the last game against the Chargers.
  • With the Giants they have 2 wide receivers who are coming in as doubtful or questionable. Darius Slayton had a foot injury and is expected to have limited practice, but C.J. Board spent part of the day Sunday in the hospital with a concussion.
  • Alex Lewis, the offensive guard from the Jets, is listed as questionable as his shoulders have been giving him problems on the year.
  • Zach Eritz the standout tight end for the Eagles is already listed as out for this week with a high ankle sprain. To make it worse for Philadelphia their injury list is mounting with Miles Sanders, Malik Jackson, Jack Driscoll among the many Eagles players who are listed as questionable.
  • The Steelers will be looking to find linebacking support this week as Devin Bush is out after tearing his ACL in this past weeks action.
  • With San Francisco they are expected to have Ben Garland listed as out for quite a bit after injuring his calf this past week, but the big blow could be Raheem Mostert who could land on the IR with a high ankle sprain.
  • Lano Hill is a good safety for the Seattle team, but has back issues this year that could land him on the injured reserve list.
  • Saahdiq Charles is the starting offensive tackle for Washington and after he dislocated his knee cap against the Cowboys he is expected to be out this week.
