The New York Jets is coming in after not losing a single game in the preseason. The Jets picked up wins over the Commanders (20-17), the Panthers (15-12) and the Giants (10-6). No matter what it was an impressive preseason for the Jets who struggled at times last year.

On the depth chart the Jets have Aaron Roders listed as the starter at quarterback. However, if he is unable to go Tyrod Taylor is listed as second in the chart. So the quarterback position for the Jets could easily become questionable if Rodgers gets hurt again. Breece Hall is the starting projected running back for the Jets coming into this game here. Last season Hall carried the ball 223 times for a total of 994 yards, but the problem is Hall could not find the end zone often with only 5 touchdowns. 

The 49ers for their part finished the preseason with a 1-1-1 record on the day. The San Francisco teams loss came against the Titans by a score of 17-13. The 49ers place to a 24-24 draw against the Raiders. However, the win for the 49ers was a 16-10 win over the New Orleans Saints. 

Brock Purdy is the starting quarterback for the 49ers heading into this game here. Purdy last year managed to go have a decent year going 308/444 for a total of 4,280 yards. However, he did get a total of 31 touchdowns and threw only 11 picks in the season. Christian McCaffrey is listed as questionable, but he is still listed as the projected starting running back. Last year McCaffrey ended up carrying the ball 272 times for 1,459 yards and 14 touchdowns on the year.

The game here is one that the Jets would like to have a good showing, but the Jets have a lot of question marks coming into the season. The 49ers, though, are coming in with a decent roster and good depth, but the health of McCaffrey could impact how the 49ers running game takes off.
