New York Giants - 2022 NFL Season Preview and Wins Total Prediction

The New York Giants come into the 2022 season with lots of optimism led by a young core of players. New York has one of the easiest schedules in the NFL this season that should help them improve their win total from years past. Daniel Jones will again be under quarterback and the success New York sees this season will be solely in his hands. Add in a host of weapons around the young quarterback and New York has a bright 2022 ahead of them.

Daniel Jones is coming off a mediocre season last year that saw him have ups and downs, while making extreme strides in the right direction. In 2022 running back Saquon Barkley is expected to be in the backfield as he looks to return to form. With Barkley in the backfield that gives New York a completely different weapon as an elite level running back who can carry the load and work well in the passing game.

As far as the weapons around the young quarterback Kenny Golladay and Sterling Shepard are expected to have breakout seasons as the top two targets for Jones. Darius Slayton will see lots of production as well as a safety blanket for the New York offense.

The defensive side of the ball is where New York will struggle the most this season as they currently rank in the bottom third of the NFL. New York will have to rely on good coaching from new Defensive Coordinator Don Martindale to implement a system that fits New York. The Giants will lean on their veterans to carry the load this season to keep them in games.
