New York Giants 2022-23 - NFL Schedule

The New York Giants finished the 2021-22 regular season at 4-13 and were last in the NFC East. Last season Daniel Jones passed for 2,428 yards with 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions in a very run-oriented offense. Devontae Booker and Saquon Barkley each rushed for a team-high 593 yards and combined to score four touchdowns. Kenny Golladay caught 37 passes for 521 yards and five touchdowns last season to lead all receivers for the Giants.

Brian Daboll, who was formerly the offensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills, is the new head coach for the Giants. Mike Kafka is the new offensive coordinator and Don Martindale is the new defensive coordinator. Daniel Jones returns as the starting quarterback but the Giants signed Tyrod Taylor to backup Jones. Matt Brieda was signed to backup starting running back Barkley. 

Last season the Giants offense scored an average of only 15.2 points per game which was next to last in the NFL, while averaging 99.3 yards rushing per game and 188.0 yards passing per game. Therefore, it is no surprise that the Giants hired a new head coach who was formerly an OC. New York's defense gave up an average of 24.5 points per game.

Rookie linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux will be a nemesis to all quarterbacks this season. He leads a strong linebacker corps that includes Blake Martinez, Tae Crowder and Azeez Olulari. The front three will be led by Leonard Williams and Dexter Lawrence. The secondary is the weak link for New York with top players James Bradberry and Logan Ryan departing during the offseason.
