New Orleans Saints at Tampa Bay Buccaneers 12/5/22 - NFL Picks & Predictions

Raymond James Stadium will play host to a Monday night NFL clash between the New Orleans Saints and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Saints (4-8) have dropped four of their first five road games and have struggled to find consistent offense since Drew Brees retired. On Sunday, New Orleans stumbled twice in the red zone and was limited to 260 total yards during a 13-0 road loss against San Francisco.

New Orleans missed a 39-yard field goal, lost a fumble on the one-yard line, and turned the ball over on downs inside the five-yard line. Veteran QB Andy Dalton threw for 204 yards and rookie WR Chris Olave added five catches for 62 yards.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have split their first six home games and are averaging just 18.2 points per contest. Forty-five year old QB Tom Brady has thrown for 3.051 yards, but has just 14 touchdowns through 11 games. On Sunday, Tampa Bay surrendered a game-tying touchdown with 32 seconds remaining during a 23-17 overtime loss at Cleveland.

WR Chris Godwin led the Tampa Bay offensive attack with 12 receptions for 110 yards and a 10-yard touchdown. Brady threw a five-yard touchdown pass to Ko Kieft and Rachaad White rushed for a team-high 64 yards on 14 carries.

Tampa Bay RT Tristan Wirfs suffered an ankle injury during Sunday’s loss and is expected to miss the next 3-4 weeks. The Saints have yet to cover on the road and the Buccaneers have failed to cover in five home games. Take the Saints to pull off the upset. Final Score Prediction, New Orleans Saints win 21-17.
