Carolina dropped to 0-2 following its 19-16 loss to the New York Giants on Sunday. Carolina was held to 275 yards of total offense and turned the ball over twice. The Panthers held the Giants to 275 yards of total offense but could not prevent New York from a late drive of over seven minutes to kick the winning field goal. Carolina quarterback Baker Mayfield passed for 145 yards and one touchdown.

Baker Mayfield has passed for 380 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. The leading rusher for Carolina is Christian McCaffrey with 135 yards and one touchdown and the leading receiver is Robby Anderson with 134 yards and one touchdown reception. On defense, safety Xavier Woods is the leading tackler with 20. Carolina has four quarterback sacks and no interceptions. 

New Orleans played well against Tampa Bay but turned the ball over too many times. The Saints will correct that error this week in practice and come out strong on the road against the Panthers. Carolina’s offense struggles under the leadership of Baker Mayfield. The Panthers have failed to cover the number in each of the last six versus an opponent from the NFC.
