The New England Patriots are set to visit CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Washington for a Week 2 clash against the Seattle Seahawks. The New England Patriots come into this matchup with a 1-0 record, and they will be looking to continue their success after winning their recent home game against the Miami Dolphins, 21-11. QB Cam Newton had a great first game in a Patriots uniform as he connected on 15 of his 19 pass attempts for 155 yards while adding in 75 rushing yards and 2 TDs. WR Julian Edelman has continued to be Mr. Reliable for whoever is at QB as he hauled in 5 catches for 57 yards while also recording 23 rushing yards.

The New England Patriots were good on the defensive side of the ball against the Miami Dolphins as they held them to 11 points and a total of 269 yards of offense. Safety Adrian Phillips had a big game from the secondary as he recorded a team-high 9 tackles, 1 TFL, and 1 interception. Phillips wasn’t the only productive member of the secondary as Stephon Gilmore and J.C. Jackson were able to add an interception to their names.

The Seattle Seahawks come into this matchup with a 1-0 record, and they will be looking to continue their success after winning their recent road game against the Atlanta Falcons, 38-25. QB Russell Wilson had a big game for the Seahawks as he connected on 31 of his 35 pass attempts for 322 yards and 4 TDs. WR D.K. Metcalf led the way for the Seahawks with 95 receiving yards and 1 TD while RB Chris Carson had 6 receptions and 2 receiving TDs.

The Seattle Seahawks struggled on the defensive side of the ball against the Atlanta Falcons as they allowed them to score 25 points and rack up a total of 506 yards of offense. Safety Jamal Adams had a big game for the Seahawks as he racked up 12 tackles, 2.5 TFL, and 1 sack. Joining Adams in the secondary was Quandree Diggs who was productive for Seattle with 4 tackles, 2 pass deflections, and 1 interception.

The Seattle Seahawks are one of the favorites to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl this season, and a huge reason behind that is QB Russell Wilson and his dangerous WR corp. The New England Patriots were able to win game 1 in the post-Brady era, but we have to remember that they were playing a below-average Miami team who doesn’t have much talent on the offensive side of the ball. The Seahawks have the ability to attack you through the air with Wilson, Metcalf, Lockett, or Olson, but Chris Carson is a dangerous back who can break a run at any point of the game. Cam Newton looked impressive in his debut, but the addition of Jamal Adams makes the Seahawks a great team on both sides of the ball. Final Score Prediction, Seattle Seahawks win and cover ATS 27-20.
