Minnesota Vikings at Philadelphia Eagles - Picks and Predictions 9/19/22

The Minnesota Vikings will travel on the road in the second week of the season to the state of Pennsylvania to face off against the Philadelphia Eagles for Monday night football with a scheduled kick off time of 8:30 PM Eastern. This game will be available on the ABC network. Minnesota was victorious in their first game against the Green Bay Packers by the score of 23–7. Kirk Cousins had two touchdowns and 277 yards in the game.

Philadelphia was also victorious in week one on the road against the Detroit Lions in a close game by the score of 38–35. Jalen Hurts ran for 75 yards and a touchdown. Myles Sanders ran for 96 yards in a touchdown for Philadelphia. AJ Brown had 10 receptions for 155 yards in his Philadelphia Eagle debut.

Justin Jefferson is the team leader for the Vikings in receptions with 9 for 184 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Dalvin Cook has 90 yards on 20 carries in the game against Green Bay. The defense of the Vikings held Aaron Rodgers down limiting his open opportunities stopping him from throwing at touchdown in the game.

Philadelphia had trouble with Detroit especially in the first half until they came rumbling back on the shoulders of Hurts and his 75 yards scrambling saving plays and creating first down with his legs instead of arm. Detroit has an improved defense but are not the Vikings who look poised for a division run.

Unfortunately for Philadelphia, they gave up 35 points to Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions. If the Philadelphia Eagles want to be successful against Minnesota, the defense will have to step up and play a completely different game. We see the offensive firepower of the Minnesota Vikings being too much for Philadelphia to handle. Final Score Prediction: Minnesota Vikings win by the score of 35–17.
