The Minnesota Vikings are set to visit Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan for an NFC North clash against the Detroit Lions. The Minnesota Vikings come into this matchup with a 6-9 record, and they will be looking to rebound after dropping their recent road game against the New Orleans Saints, 52-33. QB Kirk Cousins had a big game through the air for Minnesota as he connected on 27 of his 41 pass attempts for 291 yards and 3 TDs. WR Adam Thielen was the top target for Cousins and the Vikings as he hauled in 8 catches for 97 yards and a TD.

The Minnesota Vikings struggled on the defensive side of the ball against the New Orleans Saints as they allowed them to score 52 points and rack up a total of 583 yards of offense. LB Blake Lynch led the way for the Minnesota defense with 10 tackles. The secondary had a busy game for the Vikings as CB Harrison Hand had 2 pass breakups while DB Harrison Smith and DB Anthony Harris combined for 16 tackles.

The Detroit Lions come into this matchup with a 5-10 record, and they will be looking to rebound after dropping their recent home game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 47-7. QB Chase Daniels came in off the bench for Matt Stafford, and he struggled to get much offense going as he only threw for 86 yards on 13 completions. RB D’Andre Swift had a productive outing out of the backfield for the Lions as he ran for 45 yards while adding 4 receptions for 25 yards.

The Detroit Lions struggled on the defensive side of the ball against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as they allowed them to score 47 points and rack up a total of 588 yards of offense. Safety Tracy Walker and LB Jarrad Davis led the way for the Detroit defense with a combined 18 tackles. The Lions were able to get into the Tampa Bay backfield a couple of times as CB Darryl Roberts had a TFL while DE Everson Griffen and DE Romeo Okwara both had a sack.

Both of these teams really struggled on the defensive side of the ball against NFC Championship contenders in their recent game, but the Minnesota offense is way better than what Detroit has put on film over the last few weeks. The Vikings have one of the top RBs in the game with Dalvin Cook as well as a deadly duo on the outside with Thielen and Jefferson, and the Detroit defense is coming off a game where they allowed 477 passing yards. The Detroit Lions lost Matt Stafford to an ankle injury against Tampa Bay which means they will most likely have to turn to David Blough or Chase Daniels, and the duo really struggled to get the offense moving in their recent game. Final Score Prediction, Minnesota Vikings win and cover ATS 34-21.
