Miami Dolphins at Jacksonville Jaguars 9/24/20 - NFL Picks & Predictions

The Miami Dolphins are set to visit TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Florida for an AFC clash against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Miami Dolphins come into this matchup with a 0-2 record, and they will be looking to rebound after dropping their recent home game against the Buffalo Bills, 31-28. QB Ryan Fitzpatrick had a productive outing through the air for Miami as he connected on 31 of his 47 pass attempts for 328 yards and 2 TDs. TE Mike Gesicki was the top target for Fitzpatrick and the Dolphins as he hauled in 8 catches for 130 yards and a TD. WR Isaiah Ford was also a surprise for the Dolphins as he racked up 76 yards on 7 catches.

The Miami Dolphins struggled on the defensive side of the ball against the Buffalo Bills as they allowed them to score 31 points and rack up a total of 524 yards of offense. CB Nik Needham led the way for the Miami defense with 12 tackles. The defensive line had a productive game for the Dolphins as Davon Godchaux racked up 6 tackles while Christian Wilkins was able to pitch in 5 tackles.

The Jacksonville Jaguars come into this matchup with a 1-1 record, and they will be looking to rebound after dropping their recent road game against the Tennessee Titans, 33-30. QB Gardner Minshew II had a productive game through the air for the Jaguars as he connected on 30 of his 45 pass attempts for 339 yards, 3 TDs, and 2 interceptions. RB James Robinson was able to get busy in his 2nd career game for Jacksonville as he racked up 102 yards and 1 TD on 16 carries.

The Jacksonville Jaguars struggled on the defensive side of the ball against the Tennessee Titans as they allowed them to score 33 points and rack up a total of 354 yards of offense. LB Myles Jack had a productive outing for the Jacksonville defense as he racked up 11 tackles while pitching in 1 pass defended. LB Joe Schobert was also able to have a double-digit tackle game as he recorded 10 tackles for the Jaguars.

The Jacksonville Jaguars were written off before the season started due to their roster overhaul, but they have had one of the most intriguing offenses in the NFL with Gardner Minshew leading the way. Miami has a young but talented roster, but Jay Gruden has made the Jacksonville offense a threat as they have weapons all over the field. DJ Chark Jr. went to the Pro Bowl last season for the Jags and they spent money on Tyler Eifert while drafting Shenault Jr. and Johnson, and I believe they have enough to attack the Miami secondary. The Jaguars defense has a very good LB corp with Schobert and Jack, but C.J. Henderson has been an extremely good CB for Jacksonville, and I expect him to lock down DeVante Parker and the Miami aerial attack. Final Score Prediction, Jacksonville Jaguars win and cover ATS 30-22.
