Did Sean McVay make a good choice by pushing to get rid of Goff for Stafford? Time will tell this year as the Rams are coming in with a new quarterback after McVay wanted to move on from a quarterback that threw for almost 4000 yards and 20 touchdowns. That is after finishing on an 11-7 record last year and a playoff berth.

A lot of people are talking about the quarterback move as Stafford does look like an upgrade on paper. However, the new system could definitely hurt the Rams quarterback potential this year. The line for Stafford here should provide plenty of protection and Stafford does gain some new and explosive upgrades at wideout. Now, the downside is Stafford will not have a trustworthy running back with proven explosion from the line to hand the ball off to as Akers is coming back and last year he carried the ball 145 times for 625 yards.

The Rams had one of the best rated defense’s last year. However, the Rams did lose some key players off of the team from last year. The one loss that will sting the most is John Johnson III who led the Rams in tackles, but also was a great play reader to make the adjustments on the fly to get the proper defense set in place. 

With special teams the Rams are definitely set in the kicker and the punting positions. However, one of the most important positions is up for grabs this year for the Rams and that is the long snapper. Expect to see some strong competition for this vital, but often overlooked special teams spot this year in camp.
