The Los Angeles Chargers come into the 2022 season as a dark horse for a potential run at a Super Bowl title. Los Angeles is loaded on both sides of the ball with young elite talent looking to finally breakthrough in the NFL. Quarterback Justin Herbert will be under center, and the Chargers will go as far as he takes them.

Justin Herbert is a potential MVP candidate quarterback coming into the 2022 season and will be surrounded by elite talent on the offensive side of the ball. Austin Ekeler will be running back number one within the Los Angeles offense again this season but the addition of Isaiah Spiller will give Los Angeles another weapon and another look coming out of the running back position.

The Los Angeles receivers is one of the best units in the NFL as Keenan Allen will be the primary target for Herbert again this year. Mike Williams and Josh Palmer will join Allen at the receiver position as both expect to see their numbers balloon in the 2022 season as well, while new tight end Gerald Everett will serve as a safety blanket for his young quarterback.

Defensively Los Angeles is a top 10 ranked team in the preseason in 2022. Los Angeles struggled a year ago against the run but added Khalil Mack this offseason to improve the defensive line. With Mack and Joey Bosa on the defensive line for Los Angeles the Chargers now boast 2 of the best edge rushers in the NFL.
