The Jacksonville Jaguars are set to visit M&T Bank Stadium for a preseason clash against the Baltimore Ravens. The Jacksonville Jaguars are coming off a disappointing 2018 season as they went 5-11, a year after making it to the AFC Championship game. The Jacksonville Jaguars will have a new look under center as they signed QB Nick Foles to a big deal which is a big addition considering the former Eagle won the Super Bowl MVP back in 2017. The Jacksonville Jaguars ranked 31st in the NFL in PPG during the 2018 season as they only averaged 15.3 PPG.

The Jacksonville Jaguars is one of the strong points for this team as they are deep from the defensive line to the secondary. The Jacksonville Jaguars will be missing their leading tackler from a year ago as Telvin Smith (134 Tackles) has elected to sit out the 2019 season which will be a big miss for Todd Wash. Jacksonville will return their star CB in Jalen Ramsey who contributed 3 interceptions and 13 pass deflections a year ago. The Baltimore Ravens are looking to expand off their success from the 2018 season as they went 10-6, and made the AFC Wild Card. The Baltimore Ravens may have found their QB of the future as Lamar Jackson contributed 1201 passing yards, 695 rushing yards, and a total of 11 TDs during his rookie season. The Baltimore Ravens also made a big splash when they landed RB Mark Ingram in free agency as he has been a vital piece of the Saints rushing attack over the last few years.

The Baltimore Ravens will also look to continue their defensive success from a season ago as they ranked 2nd in the NFL in points allowed as they gave up 17.9 PPG. The Baltimore Ravens did lose a couple of key pieces during free agency, but they made a solid move in picking up all-star safety Earl Thomas as well as Shane Ray. Expect the secondary to once again be a strong point for the Ravens as they are very deep there.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have dominated the Baltimore Ravens ATS as of recent as they have covered in 5 consecutive meetings. Preseason games are always hard to cap, but I feel as the Jacksonville Jaguars have something to prove in this matchup as they have a new offensive coordinator as well as trying to forget about last season. Something to note in this game is the backup QB matchup as Gardner Minshew was a star during his time with the Washington State Cougars, and he will once again prove his worth in this one. While the defensive matchup will be one to watch, the Jaguars offense should be drastically improved from a season ago. Final Score Prediction, Jacksonville Jaguars win and cover 21-17.
