The Jacksonville Jaguars (0 - 0, 0 - 0 Away) are opening up their NFL season on the road with a game against the hometown New York Giants (0 - 0, 0 - 0 Home). New York will be hosting this game at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ. New York and Jacksonville are taking the field this season with wildly different expectations for their year. Jacksonville is seeking to build on last year's playoff run while New York looks to be halfway through an abrupt rebuild while still giving veteran QB Eli Manning some more run.

The New York Giants come into this game with an offense that has all of the tools on paper to be truly elite. While Eli Manning needs to have a bounce-back year, he'll have help in super-rookie Saquon Barkley in the backfield and a healthy, recently paid, Odell Beckham Jr split out wide. Add in another year of seasoning for athletic tight end Evan Engram and you have the makings of a solid offense. Still, New York will have to beat one of the best secondaries in the NFL and that won't be easy. Jacksonville will be taking the field as the underdog in this game but we still like them to do some damage against New York. Jacksonville's offense is led by second-year pro Leonard Fournette and he figures to see the bulk of the offensive work in this game. Jacksonville's defense will keep this game low-scoring, as well. Ultimately, if Jacksonville can slow this game down then they'll score an easy win.

The Giants have made ton of changes in off-season but another poor year for the New York offensive line and QB Eli Manning leads to another poor NY Giants season. Jags on the other side have elite level defense that just needs the Jacksonville offense to not turn the ball over. Final Score Prediction, Jacksonville Jaguars win and cover ATS 20-13.
