The week 16 NFL schedule will kick off with a matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New York Jets from MetLife Stadium. The Jaguars (6-8) have won three of their last four games and trail Tennessee by one full game for the AFC South Division lead. On Sunday, Rayshawn Jenkins returned an interception 52 yards for a touchdown in overtime to lift Jacksonville to a 40-34 home victory versus Dallas.

Jacksonville trailed 21-7 at halftime, but QB Trevor Lawrence led the comeback with three touchdown passes in the second half. Zay Jones caught six passes for 109 yards and three scores. Travis Eitenne Jr. contributed 103 yards on the ground for the Jaguars.

The New York Jets are currently on the outside looking in for an AFC Wild Card berth and would likely need to win their remaining three games to have any hope. On Sunday, New York’s playoff hopes took another crushing blow during a 20-17 home loss versus Detroit. The Jets (7-7) surrendered a 51-yard touchdown pass with less than two minutes remaining and have now lost three straight. 

Zach Wilson started in place of injured QB Mike White and finished with 317 passing yards. Wilson found TE C.J. Uzomah on touchdown passes of one yard and 40 yards. Garret Wilson added four catches for 98 yards in a losing effort for the Jets.
