Trevor Lawrence will once again have the keys for the Jacksonville offense coming into 2024. Lawrence has thrown for 11,770 yards and 58 scores through 50 games across three seasons thus far. Travis Etienne Jr. is running back number one for Jacksonville coming into his third season in the NFL. Etienne has rushed for more than 1000 yards in both of his professional seasons after 1008 a year ago. Christian Kirk is the top receiver for the Jacksonville offense after 787 yards and three scores on 57 catches a year ago but enters week 1 questionable for the opener.

The Miami Dolphins come into the 2024 season looking to build off their momentum from a year ago. Miami had eleven wins and four losses through week 16 but lost three in a row including the Wild Card matchup against Kansas City to end their season. The 2024 preseason was good to the dolphins as they won two of three games following a 10 point loss to Tampa Bay in the final game before kicking off the regular year. 

Skylar Thompson took most of the snaps from Miami in the final preseason game of the summer completing 19 passes for 190 yards and two scores. Mike White came on to complete 5 passes on 9 attempts for 37 total yards. Hayden Rucci led the way for the Miami receivers with 44 yards and one score on five grabs. Jaelen Wright chipped in 41 yards on 4 catches and Kyric McGowan add an 18 yards and one score on three catches.

Both of these teams come into the new year with high expectations and a ton to prove. Miami has the better overall roster and will have the home fans at their back.
