Jacksonville Jaguars at Cincinnati Bengals 9/30/21 - NFL Picks & Predictions

The week three NFL schedule will kickoff with a Thursday night matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Cincinnati Bengals from Paul Brown Stadium. The Jaguars are off to an 0-3 start for first year head coach Urban Meyer and are surrendering 30.3 points per contest. On Sunday, Jacksonville was outscored by 18 points during the second half of a 31-19 home loss versus Arizona.

With Jacksonville leading 19-17 in the third quarter,  rookie QB Trevor Lawrence had an interception returned for a touchdown. Jamal Agnew ended the first half with a 109 yard return of a field goal for a touchdown to give the Jaguars a 13-7 halftime lead.

The Cincinnati Bengals are led by 2020 number one overall draft pick Joe Burrow and a much improved defense. On Sunday, Cincinnati showed that they can be a force in the AFC North Division race with a 24-10 road victory against Pittsburgh. The Bengals (2-1) won despite being outgained by a 342-268 margin and possessing the ball for less than 25 minutes.

Cincinnati QB Joe Burrow completed 14 of 18 passes for 172 yards and three touchdowns. Rookie WR Ja’Marr Chase caught four passes for 65 yards and found the end zone twice for the Bengals.

Jacksonville rookie RB Travis Etienne has been lost for the season after suffering a foot injury in the preseason.The Jaguars were in position to win on Sunday, but were plagued by costly turnovers. The Bengals are riding high and will win at home in a game that goes over the total. Final Score Prediction, Cincinnati Bengals win 30-23.
