The Indianapolis Colts will hope to get their first win of the season when they head on the road to Nissan Stadium to take on the Tennessee Titans. Indianapolis has started the season with a pair of home games against NFC West opponents, losing by 12 to the Seahawks in week one and a 27-24 loss to the Rams last week. Tennessee also started with two AFC West opponents, they were dominated by the Cardinals week one, but came back from a 24-9 halftime deficit to win 33-30 in overtime.

The Titans offense was stagnant in week one against the Cardinals, Ryan Tannehill was sacked 7 times and Derrick Henry managed just 58 yards rushing. The offense started sluggishly against the Seahawks, but Henry finally got going in the second half with a couple big runs on his way to finisihing with 182 yards and three touchdowns. Tennessee will likely finish as a top-5 offense, they’re averaging 390 yards per game and 23 points through two games.

The issue for Tennessee is the same as last season and will continue to be an issue, it’s the defense, the Titans are allowing 406.5 yards per game and are bottom-5 in the NFL in scoring offense allowing 34 points per game through the first two games. The addition of Julio Jones to pair with Derrick Henry and AJ Brown on the offense is great, but if they can’t figure out how to get stops it could be a disappointing season.

Indianapolis and the Carson Wentz marriage has got off to as poor of a start as you could imagine, they’re 0-2, struggling offensively, and he is now questionable after going out last week with injuries in both ankles. Wentz may not be the future of the Colts franchise, but he is the best option they have at quarterback. Indianapolis is averaging 372.5 yards per game and 20 points per game, both of which are in the bottom half of the league.

Indianapolis has played against two of the better teams in the league, and two of the better offenses especially, and are allowing 386.5 yards and 27.5 points per game through two weeks. Neither team they played is really effective running the football, so we don’t have much to base on how they’ll handle Derrick Henry and one of the best rushing attacks in football.

The Titans came out flat week one, and that carried over into the first half of week two, but they looked like the Tiants of last year in the second half. Derrick Henry finally got going against an average Seahawks defense, and I think that offense is able to keep it going into week two. The defense will get the benefit of playing either an injured Carson Wentz, or the backup, and is able to get the stops necessary to pick up a divisional win. Final score prediction, Titans win and cover ATS 31-23.
