Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars 1/9/22 - NFL Picks & Predictions

The Indianapolis Colts will be on the road for a visit to TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville,FL for a week 18 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Indianapolis comes into this game 9-7 overall on the year following a 3 point home loss to Las Vegas in week 17. Offensively Indianapolis struggled against Las Vegas compiling only 262 yards to score 20 points in the game. 

Quarterback Carson Wentz struggled under center completing 16 of 27 passes for 148 yards and one touchdown, while running back Jonathan Taylor added 108 yards rushing and one score on 20 carries. Michael Pittman Jr. was the lead target in the Indianapolis passing attack with 47 yards on six receptions. TY Hilton added one reception for 45 yards and one score and Mo Alie-Cox chipped in 28 yards on three receptions. 

The Jacksonville Jaguars return home for the final week of the season as the worst team in the league with a 2-14 record overall riding an eight game losing streak after a 40 point loss to New England last game out. Defensively Jacksonville was obliterated by New England allowing 471 total yards of offense as 290 came through the air to give up 50 total points in the game. 

The Jacksonville offense was dormant against New England with 253 total yards and 10 points including only seven in the second half. Rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence struggled immensely against New England completing only 17 of 27 passes for one score and three interceptions. Dare Ogunbowale was the leading rusher for Jacksonville with 36 yards on 9 carries but failed to find the end zone.
