Indianapolis Colts - 2022 NFL Season Preview and Wins Total Prediction

The Indianapolis Colts come into the 2022 season after a crushing end to the 2021 year. Indianapolis was primed for a playoff position last season but lost their final two games dashing their hopes of postseason play. Matt Ryan replaced quarterback Carson Wentz this offseason as the new head of the Indianapolis offense. The Colts 2022-23 team will be interesting team for us bettors and think our NFL Picks will be focused on can Indy live up to the now lofty expectations. 

Matt Ryan is a proven winner in the National Football League as a former league MVP having one a multitude of games. Matt Ryan is a better quarterback than Carson Wentz and will immediately boost the Indianapolis offense as a unit. One of the biggest upgrades for Indianapolis this season is their offensive line is expected to shine for their new quarterback.

Jonathan Taylor is perhaps the biggest weapon in the Indianapolis offense as one of the best running backs in the NFL. Taylor will be leaned upon early as an elite ballcarrier, while also making an impact in the passing game. Michael Pittman Jr. will be receiver number one for Matt Ryan as he is expected to lead the way for the Indianapolis receiving unit.

The Indianapolis Colts lost their coordinator this offseason but still come into the 2022 season ranked number 13 defensively in the preseason. Indianapolis is loaded with talent on the defensive side of the ball and Stephon Gilmore is expected to be the on field leader for Indianapolis. Indianapolis has a great group of pass rushers led by Yannick Nakoue and Kwity Paye and are expected to disrupt opposing team’s offenses early and often in 2022.
