The Green Bay Packers visit the Buffalo Bills on Saturday for the final game of the 2021 preseason for both. Green Bay is 0-2 the preseason following its 23-14 loss to the New York Jets on Saturday. Green Bay Packers starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers did not play nor did backup Jordan Love. Green Bay used little-known Kurt Benkert who passed for 151 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
Green Bay did not play 32 of its players on Saturday including nearly every regular on both sides of the ball. However, Aaron Rodgers could see action on Saturday against Buffalo but is not likely to play more than the first couple of series. Rookie running back Kylin Hill scored on a 12-yard rush for the Packers and is likely to make the roster, while Malik Taylor had 66 yards receiving in the loss.
Buffalo improved to 2-0 in the preseason following an impressive 41-15 victory over the Chicago Bears on Saturday. Former Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky led Buffalo on four drives that resulted in touchdowns in the Bills first four possessions.Trubisky passed for 221 yards with one touchdown and played all of the first half. First-team running back Devin Singletary rushed for a 14-yard touchdown and Reggie Gilliam added a 1-yard touchdown run.
Rookie Marquez Stevenson returned a punt 79 yards for a touchdown. First-team quarterback Josh Allen did not play on Saturday but is expected to see action early this Saturday against the Packers. Stefon Diggs remained sidelined with a sore knee and that gave Isaiah McKenzie an opportunity to shine and the receiver had seven catches for 72 yards during just the first half.
