Green Bay Packers 2020 Preview - NFL Odds, Picks, & Betting Predictions

Green Bay Packers finished first in the NFC North in 2019 with an overall record of 13-3, which was three games better than the 10-6 Minnesota Vikings.  In 2020, the Patriots are once again expected to battle for the NFC North title with their biggest competition being the Minnesota Vikings but oddsmakers believe the Packers will prevail once again and win the division title.

While the Green Bay offense may not be as prolific as the Kansas City Chiefs or have the athleticism of the Baltimore Ravens, it will definitely be strong and one of the NFC leaders in 2020. Once again, quarterback Aaron Rodgers will lead the Packers offense as the signal-caller remains one of the most efficient and accurate quarterbacks in the NFL. Rookie Jordan Love will give the Packers a solid No. 2 at quarterback. Aaron Jones returns after proving last season he was a member of the elite class of running backs in the NFL while Jamaal Williams is a solid backup and rookie AJ Dillon gives the offensive backfield plenty of depth.

The receiving corps will be led by wideout Davante Adams but depth is a concern as the Packers did not sufficiently address that problem during the offseason. Jace Sternberger returns, while Devin Funchess is a solid upgrade over secondary receivers from last season.  The offensive line for the Green Bay Packers is once again solid led by David Bakhtiari and Corey Linsley while second year guard Elgton Jenkins looks to improve off a solid rookie season.

The Green Bay Packers will have nearly all of the same faces on defense as they had in 2019 with just Christian Kirksey a new face on the roster. Rising stars such as Darnell Savage, Jaire Alexander,  and Adrian Amos give the Packers a solid foundation on that side of the ball. Kirksey should fit in nicely as he has played in the system before at Cleveland. Za’Darius Smith at outside linebacker remains the Packers stud on defense while Kenny Clark, Dean Lowry and Tyler Lancaster will anchor the front four.

The Green Bay Packers received a bit of bad news on Tuesday night after learning that  defensive lineman Montravius Adams was arrested in Georgia at his home and charged with three misdemeanor counts of possession of less than 1 ounce of marijuana, having a suspended, canceled or revoked vehicle registration and driving without insurance. The Packers would only make a statement saying they were aware of the matter that involved Adams and would not make any further comment due to it being an ongoing legal matter. Adams could be subject to disciplinary action by the NFL.

The NFC North Is expected to be once again a very competitive division as the Minnesota Vikings have improved on both sides of the ball as have the Chicago Bears. Green Bay added depth to their offensive backfield but could have problems at wide receiver if injuries begin to plague their lack of depth. The Packers defense behind star Za’Darius Smith will once again be solid on that side of the ball and have the talent to shut down many opposing offenses. Green Bay will win the NFC North in 2020 with an overall record of 12-4
