A battle of disappointing teams will take place on Monday night, when the New York Giants travel to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium to take on the Atlanta Falcons. The Giants have dropped five of their first six games, with their lone victory coming at Houston. On Thursday, New York was thoroughly overmatched during a 34-13 home loss versus Philadelphia. Rookie RB Saquon Barkley racked up 229 yards of total offense and a touchdown in a losing effort for the Giants.

Through six games, New York ranks 24th in total offense and is scoring just 19.5 points on average. Atlanta has been decimated by injuries on a defense that ranks third worst in yards allowed and surrenders 32 points per contest..

The Atlanta Falcons are two seasons removed from a Super Bowl appearance, but do not look like a team that has the potential to reach the postseason. The Falcons already have four losses and are currently in last place in the NFC South Division. On Sunday, Atlanta K Matt Bryant nailed a 57-yard field goal with 1:10 remaining to seal a 34-29 home victory versus Tampa Bay. Matt Ryan threw for 354 yards and three touchdowns for the Falcons.

For the season, Atlanta ranks 8th in total offense and is scoring 27.8 points per game. New York will look to be up to the challenge with a defense that ranks 15th in yards allowed and gives up 27.0 points on average.

Atlanta K Matt Bryant (hamstring) and RB Devonta Freeman (foot) are not expected to suit up on Monday night. New York has had issues on their offensive line dating back to last season and QB Eli Manning looks punch drunk in the pocket. Take Atlanta to cruise to a big victory and move to within a game of the .500 mark. Final Score Prediction, Atlanta Falcons win and cover ATS 34-21.
