The Falcons are a team that is really needs to prove they belong at the top echelon and the best way to do that for the Falcons is developing the talent. To help with that the Falcons brought in a former Falcon in Chuck Smith and Patrick Kerney who are pass rush specialist to work with the defensive line in getting the rush down pat.

Offensively the Falcons are fairly sound and return a good tandem already in the quarterback and receiving corps. However, during the off season the Falcons helped to shore up the receivers even more with Calvin Ridley, the Alabama standout, but he has a sharp learning curve and has had some on field mess ups. As for the Jets, the team is a little bit lost when it comes to what they are looking for. The Jets do have Sam Darnold from USC this year, but as a rookie it is hard to see what kind of potential impact he could have on the team. However, he will not be much of a factor in this game as he only signed to a contract on the 30th of July. This means the Jets will have to rely on Josh McCown and potentially the recovering from injury Teddy Bridgewater to be under center in this game.

Defensively the Jets are set to play in a 3-4 defense, but the ends are definitely going to need some help. As of right now after the starters the Jets are completely lacking in depth and this could easily hurt the team in the future with how the team performs, but also lead to quite a bit of fatigue and make it easier for break the corner.

The Falcons are going to definitely be able to out play the Jets in this game. The Falcons have an offensive plan set in place, they have the players who can implement it and what is even better they have specialized coaching for the rushers to learn better tactics to get at the quarterback. For the Jets, the offense has a quarterback and some controversy that can creep into this position as the Jets are carrying 5 quarterbacks on the roster right now. The defense for the Jets will tire out quickly and have some issues containing the Falcons offense. Final Score Prediction, Atlanta Falcons win and cover ATS 27-7.
