On Sunday, the Atlanta Falcons head west to play the Arizona Cardinals at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The Falcons were routed by the Houston Texans on Sunday 53-32 and fell to 1-4 on the season. The loss was Atlanta’s third straight. Atlanta’s defense allowed an astronomically high 592 total yards of offense to the Texans. Ownership is disappointed by supports head coach Dan Quinn.
Arizona and rookie quarterback Kyler Murray finally won a game as the Cardinals defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 26-23 for the first win of the season. Murray ran for a touchdown and led the offense down the field on a drive that was capped off by the winning field by Zane Gonzalez from 31 yards on the game’s final play. The win was Kliff Kingsbury’s first as the Cardinals head coach.
Matt Ryan has thrown for 1,655 yards, 11 touchdowns and seven interceptions for Atlanta. The leading rusher for the Falcons is Devonta Freeman with 187 yards, while Austin Hooper leads in receiving with 363 yards and two touchdowns. De’Vondre Campbell leads the Falcons in tackles with 48.
