Eagles at Jaguars 8/15/19 - NFL Preseason Picks & Predictions

On Thursday, the Philadelphia Eagles visit TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Florida to play the Jacksonville Jaguars in a Week 2 preseason showdown. The Eagles lost their first preseason game to the Tennessee Titans 27-10. Eagles backup quarterback Nate Sudfeld suffered a broken left wrist in the loss and will miss six weeks. Before being injured Sudfeld threw a 75-yard TD pass to Marken Michel.

Jacksonville lost its opening game of the preseason last week 29-0 to the Baltimore Ravens. Jaguars’ backup quarterback Gardner Minshew played in place of Nick Foles who was rested for the preseason opener. Jacksonville quarterbacks were sacked four times and completed just 10 passes in the game. Minshew threw for just 46 yards. Tanner Lee threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown after replacing Minshew. Nate Sudfeld leads the Eagles with 177 yards passing and one touchdown, but will not play due to injury. Wendell Smallwood leads the Eagles rushers with 11 yards while Marken Michel is the leading receiver with one catch for 75 yards and one touchdown. Dallas Goedert has caught three passes for 50 yards.

Gardner Minshew leads the Jaguars with 46 yards passing. Ryquell Armstead leads in rushing with 22 yards, while both Alfred Blue and Devante Mays have 20 yards rushing. The top receiver for the Jaguars through one game is Tre McBride with three receptions for 42 yards.
