Detroit Lions at Atlanta Falcons 10/25/20 - NFL Picks & Predictions

Mercedes-Benz Stadium will play host to a Sunday afternoon NFL battle between the Detroit Lions and the Atlanta Falcons. The Lions have lost three of their first five games and trail NFC North Division leading Chicago by three full games. On Sunday, Detroit built a 14 point halftime lead and cruised to a 34-16 road victory against Jacksonville. The Lions gained 403 yards of total offense and forced two turnovers.

Rookie RB D’Andre Swift exploded for a career-best 116 yards on 14 carries and found the end zone twice. Kenny Golladay contributed four catches for 105 yards for the Lions.

The Atlanta Falcons lost five straight games to start the season and fired head coach Dan Quinn. On Sunday, interim head coach Raheem Morris rallied the troops and led Atlanta to a 40-23 road triumph against Minnesota. The Falcons shutout the Vikings in the first half and limited them to just 33 yards rushing. 

Veteran QB Matt Ryan torched the Minnesota secondary for 371 yards passing and four touchdowns. Atlanta WR Julio Jones returned from injury to catch eight balls for 137 yards and two scores.
