Denver Broncos - 2022 NFL Season Preview and Wins Total Prediction

The Denver Broncos come in to the 2022 season with a completely different look from a year ago. Denver signed superstar quarterback Russell Wilson this offseason and that acquisition will immediately put Denver at the top of the AFC. With the addition of Wilson and all the weapons on the Denver offense the Broncos are a legit playoff team in 2022.

The acquisition of Russell Wilson fills a huge void for the Denver Broncos as Wilson is still one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL. Wilson will have a host of weapons around him including Javonte Williams and Melvin Gordon in the backfield. Williams is it expected to be running back number one and carry the brunt of the load early in the season as Wilson looks to get comfortable in his new offense.  Melvin Gordon will make an impact as well as a top tier ball carrier and an elite weapon in the passing game.

The receiver group for Denver is perhaps the biggest arsenal Wilson has had in several years. Courtland Sutton will make an immediate impact for Denver this season with an elite ball thrower now on the roster. It remains to be seen what will happen with Jerry Jeudy following his arrest but when he returns to the field Wilson will be given another elite weapon in the offense.

Defensively Denver is ranked number 10 in the preseason after adding several new faces to their starting unit. Denver signed veteran Randy Gregory this offseason and drafted Nik Bonitto to beef up the front seven making Denver a more formidable unit. Patrick Surtain Jr. is expected to make leaps and bounds this season defensively as Kareem Jackson and K’Waun Williams will also be big time players for the Broncos defense.
