The Cowboys are traveling to Los Angeles and would like to come into the game here and pick up a win, but traveling last year did not help the Cowboys out that much and then throw in the fact that the Cowboys have a coaching change and that will hurt the Cowboys chances even more of winning. With the Rams, the team looked decent at times last year, but were unable to really close out the games and that is what caused the Rams to fall back to 3rd place in the NFC West.

The Cowboys are coming into the year with a strong first round pick that will help out Dak Prescott, but potentially could even become a target for Andy Dalton. The pick that was made was for standout receiver CeeDee Lamb. Then the next pick the Cowboys shored up their defensive backfield with Trevon Diggs being picked up. The other change that the Cowboys made was in the head coaching position with Jason Garrett on his way out and Mike McCarthy on his way in for America’s team.

Todd Gurley is definitely a sore spot for the Rams who may not have him back on the year. Gurley is claiming that the team still owes him money, but the Rams are denying this. No matter what, the Rams must have foreseen this situation and picked up Cam Akers from Florida State in the draft. When it comes to the Rams the team was not that active in the off season free agency market and that can make a difference in the way the Rams play this year.

When it comes to the quarterback battle the Cowboys have someone on the roster that is able to challenge Prescott and push him. The Rams have Goff and he has looked decent and can make the great choices that are needed on the field by a quarterback. The Cowboys, though, will rely on Prescott, but the chance of him performing like he should on the field could be questionable at best.

The game here will be one of the Cowboys trying to feel out a new head coach, but also with the Cowboys having to wait on Lamb to adjust to the level of competition in the pros. The Rams, though, are looking to improve on their game play last year and hold onto a lead in a game. Look for the Rams, though, to come into the game here and pull out the win at home with the better play from Goff compared to Prescott. Final Score Prediction, Los Angeles Rams win 24-17.
