The Dallas Cowboys are coming into the 2022 season looking to finally get over that hump in the playoffs. Dallas comes into 2022 with a very talented core group of players expected to carry much of the load this season. Offensively Dallas has lost several weapons but still has an elite running back and one of the top young receivers in the NFL.
Dak Prescott will again be under center for Dallas this year looking to erase the memory of the final play of the 2021 season. Dak well again rely heavily on running back Ezekiel Elliott as Elliot is still one of the best ball carriers in the league, while being and effective piece of the passing game.
Amari Cooper and Cedrick Wilson are gone meaning Michael Gallup and youngster CeeDee Lamb will carry the load for Dallas. Gallup is still recovering from a torn ACL propelling Lamb into the primary target for the first few weeks of the regular season.
Defensively Dallas comes into the 2022 season ranked number 15 in the NFL and will be led by Trevon Diggs and Micah Parsons. Diggs Is expected to again be a ball hawking lockdown defender this season for Dallas. Micah Parsons will step into an even bigger role than a year ago as the true leader of the Dallas defense, while DeMarcus Lawrence will also make a huge impact for the Cowboys defense.
Year after year Dallas comes into the regular season with high hopes but 2022 could be different from years past. Dallas has a core group of young talent ready to explode on the NFL this season.
