Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers 1/3/22 - NFL Picks & Predictions

In Monday night NFL football action, the Cleveland Browns will invade Heinz Field to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Browns (7-8) have dropped consecutive games and have a less than 20 percent chance of making the playoffs. On Christmas Day, Cleveland committed four turnovers during a 24-22 road loss against Green Bay.

RB Nick Chubb rushed for 126 yards on 17 carries and put Cleveland on the scoreboard first with a one-yard touchdown run. Baker Mayfield threw for 222 yards and two scores, but was intercepted on the team’s final drive.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are 5-2-1 through their first eight home games and are still alive for a playoff spot. On Sunday, Pittsburgh allowed Kansas City to score the first 30 points of an ugly 36-10 road loss. The Steelers (7-7-1) were outgained by a 381-303 margin and turned the ball over three times in defeat.

Pittsburgh WR Diontae Johnson caught six passes for 51 yards and found the end zone in the fourth quarter on a 15-yard strike from Ben Roethlisberger. Rookie RB Najee Harris added 93 yards rushing on 19 carries in a losing effort for the Steelers.

Cleveland DE Jadeveon Clowney did not play in Saturday’s loss and his status for this game is uncertain. The Browns were also without three starters on the offensive line and are expected to be closer to healthy for this contest. Take Cleveland to win on the road. Final Score Prediction, Cleveland Browns win 23-17.
