On Sunday September 13th, the Cleveland Browns will visit M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland to play the Baltimore Ravens in the opening game of the NFL regular season for both.

In 2019, the Cleveland Browns were 6-10 and finished a disappointing third after starting the season with high expectations. Baker Mayfield returns as the starting quarterback for the Browns after passing for 3,827 yards, 22 touchdowns and 21 interceptions last season. The Browns have one of the best running backs in the NFL in Nick Chubb who rushed for 1,494 yards and eight touchdowns while Jarvis Landry led the receivers with 1,174 yards and six touchdowns and Odell Beckham Jr. was close behind with 1,035 yards and four touchdowns.

Cleveland fired first year head coach Freddy Kitchens following the end of the 2019 regular season and hired Kevin Stefanski in his place. Stefanski in turn named Joe Woods as defensive coordinator. The Browns added to their roster during the offseason by signing free agents Austin Hooper, Jack Conklin, Case Keenum, BJ Goodson, Andrew Billings, Kevin Johnson and Adrian Clayborn. Cleveland's top two draft picks were offensive tackle Jedrick Wills from Alabama selected No. 10 overall and safety Grant Delpit from LSU in the second round.

The Baltimore Ravens are coming off a 14-2 regular season in which they finished first in the AFC North. Lamar Jackson will return as the starting quarterback for the Ravens and Jackson will have several more weapons at his disposal this season. Baltimore drafted running back J.K. Dobbins in the second round out of Ohio State and Dobbins should move into the starting position at running back. The receiving corps will be led by Marquise Brown and Miles Boykin as well as two draft choices Devon Duvernay and James Proche, while Mark Andrews returns as the tight end who led the Ravens in receptions in 2019 with 64.

The Ravens biggest acquisition during the offseason via free agency was defensive end Calais Campbell, while Baltimore also re-signed nine free agents already on their roster. However, Baltimore did lose free agents Josh Bynes, Hayden Hurst, Michael Pierce and Seth Roberts. The top two picks in the NFL draft for Baltimore were linebacker Patrick Queen from LSU and running back Dobbins out of Ohio State.

Although the Browns and Ravens split their two regular season games in 2019, the Ravens were vastly improved when they dismantled the Browns 31-15 in late December. Baltimore added to its already impressive defense with the free agent signing of Calais Campbell while the Browns were able to beef up their offensive line with the signing of Jack Conklin and drafting Jedrick Wills. The Ravens will win to open the season at home but Cleveland will keep it close enough through its revamped offense to cover the number. Baltimore Ravens win but fall short ATS 27-23
