The Kansas City Chiefs are set to visit TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Florida for an AFC clash against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Kansas City Chiefs struggled during the preseason as they went 1-3, but there are high expectations for this team after making the AFC Championship game last season. The Chiefs had the best offense in the NFL last season as they finished the year ranked 1st in points scored with 35.3 PPG. Kansas City will need to improve on the defensive side of the ball if they want to be a Super Bowl champion.

The Kansas City Chiefs will return the 2018 MVP in Patrick Mahomes who saw little time during the preseason, but he was very effective in the few snaps he saw as he connected on 14 of his 19 pass attempts for 203 yards and a TD. Darron Lee was one of the main changes that the Kansas City Chiefs made on the defensive side of the ball, and he had a big preseason as he contributed a team-high 18 tackles.

The Jacksonville Jaguars struggled during the preseason as they went 0-4, and a huge reason for that was due to having the worst offense through 4 games as they only averaged 5 PPG. While the Jaguars are known for their offensive struggles, their defense did not meet expectations either as they allowed 26.5 PPG which ranked 31st in the NFL in points allowed. The offense will have a new look this season which can result in some struggles, but I expect the defense to be amongst the best.

The Jacksonville Jaguars brought in former Super Bowl MVP QB Nick Foles who did not see much time during the preseason as he only attempted 10 passes for a total of 48 yards, 1 TD, and 1 interception. The Jacksonville Jaguars did not play many starters on the defensive side of the ball this preseason, but they will have a similar look to last year with the addition of rookie Josh Allen who did contribute 5 tackles in his 1 appearance.

The Kansas City Chiefs have dominated the Jacksonville Jaguars ATS as of recent as they have covered in 4 of their last 5 meetings. The Kansas City Chiefs are my preseason pick for the Super Bowl this season, and a huge reason for that is their offensive firepower. The Jacksonville Jaguars will once again be very dangerous on the defensive side of the ball, but their offense is still a big question mark and I am not confident in backing them in what can very well turn into a shootout. The Chiefs made a ton of moves this offseason as they added Tyrann Mathieu, Darron Lee, and Frank Clark which should keep the Jags intact here. Final Score Prediction, Kansas City Chiefs win and cover ATS 28-17.
