The Chicago Bears visit SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California to play the Los Angeles Rams on NFL Sunday Night Football. Chicago was 2-1 during the preseason and will have Andy Dalton starting at quarterback ahead of top rookie selection Justin Fields. David Montgomery will start at running back for the Bears with Damien Williams seeing plenty of action. Wide receiver Allen Robinson II will be joined by fellow receivers Marquise Goodwin and Darnell Mooney.

Chicago's defense is a 3-4 and is led up front by nose tackle Eddie Goldman who is flanked by defensive ends Akiem Hicks and Bilal Nichols. The linebacker corps for the Bears is the strength of the defense led by Roquan Smith and Danny Trevathan on the inside with Robert Quinn and the best player on the team Khalil Mack on the outside. The defensive backfield is slightly suspect and will start safeties Eddie Jackson and Tashaun Gipson Jr, as well as cornerbacks Jaylon Johnson and Kindle Vildor.

Los Angeles opens the season with veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford under center. Stafford was acquired by the Rams during the offseason. Los Angeles lost running back Cam Akers to a season-ending injury but Darrell Henderson Jr rushed for over 600 last season and the Rams acquired Sony Michel from the New England Patriots during the preseason. DeSean Jackson was signed to help the Rams offense stretch the defense and Jackson will play alongside returning receivers Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods.

Los Angeles uses a 3-4 defense led up front by nose tackle Sebastian Joseph-Day, who is flanked by the NFL's best all-around defensive player Aaron Donald and A’Shawn Robinson. The linebackers are led by Justin Hollins and Leonard Floyd and on the outside will be Troy Reeder and Kenny Young. The Los Angeles secondary has a highly talented cornerback in Jalen Ramsey while Darious Williams will play opposite Ramsey at the other cornerback position. The starting safeties are Taylor Rapp and Jordan Fuller.

The Rams are one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl this season and will start the season on a strong note at home with a win and cover. Los Angeles starting quarterback Matthew Stafford has an array of offensive weapons to choose from with receivers Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp and offseason acquisition DeSean Jackson. In addition, Darrell Henderson Jr will give the Rams a strong running game. The Bears have a strong defense but the offense led by veteran quarterback Andy Dalton is unproven in the regular season and will be pressured by a strong Rams defense led by Aaron Donald. Final Score Prediction, Los Angeles Rams win and cover ATS 28-16.
