The Carolina Panthers visit MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Sunday to play the New York Giants. Carolina opened its regular season with a disappointing 26-24 loss at home to the Cleveland Browns. Carolina gained only 261 yards of total offense and the Panthers defense gave up 355 yards of total offense. Carolina led until eight seconds remained when Cleveland kicked the winning field goal.

Carolina quarterback Baker Mayfield has passed for 235 yards with one touchdown and one interception. On defense, Xavier Woods is the leader in tackles with 10 and Damien Wilson is the leader in quarterback sacks with 1.0.

New York opened its regular season with a 21-20 victory over the Tennessee Titans. New York scored with just over one minute left to play and rather than kicking the extra point to tie, the Giants attempted a two-point conversion and were successful and went on to win. New York gained 394 yards of total offense but turned the ball over twice, while the Giants’ defense gave up 359 yards of total offense to Tennessee.

Quarterback Daniel Jones has passed for 188 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. The leading rusher is Saquon Barkley with 164 yards and one touchdown, while the leading receiver is Sterling Shepard with 71 yards and one touchdown reception. On defense, Tae Crowder is the leading tackler with seven, while the leader in quarterback sacks is Tomon Fox with 1.0.

Carolina is coming off a disappointing opening game loss to Cleveland but the Panthers played well enough to win and were defeated on a 58-yard field goal in the final seconds. New York won its opening game and looked strong on offense but will be up against a tough Panthers defense. New York has failed to cover the number in six of the last seven overall and each of the last four versus an NFC opponent. Final Score Prediction, Carolina Panthers win and cover ATS 24-21.
