The Arizona Cardinals are set to visit U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota for a Week 3 preseason clash against the Minnesota Vikings. The Arizona Cardinals come into this matchup with a 1-1 record, and they will be looking to rebound after dropping their recent game against the Oakland Raiders, 33-26. Brett Hundley will be the backup QB for the Arizona Cardinals this season, and he showed his worth against the Raiders as he connected on 10 of his 15 attempts for a total of 139 yards and a TD. Rookie WR Andy Isabella showed off his speed as he was able to bring his 1 reception for a 59-yard TD.

The Arizona Cardinals will need to improve on the defensive side of the ball if they want to continue picking up preseason wins as they allowed the Raiders to score 33 points. Zeke Turner led the way for the Arizona Cardinals as he was able to contribute a team-high 7 tackles and 1 TFL. Pete Robertson was able to have a solid game from the middle of the defense for the Cardinals as he contributed 2 TFL and 1 sack. The Minnesota Vikings come into this matchup with a 2-0 record, and they will be looking to continue their success after winning their recent game against the Seattle Seahawks, 25-19. QB Kyle Sloter is fighting for the backup role, and he had a solid showing as he connected on 11 of his 13 attempts for 116 yards and a TD. Mike Boone is trying to earn a spot in the Vikings RB rotation, and he had a solid game against the Seahawks as he ran for 66 yards on 21 carries while also pitching in 45 receiving yards.

The Minnesota Vikings are undefeated through the first two preseason games, but they need to be much better moving forward as they have allowed a combined 44 points. Holton Hill had a solid game from the secondary for the Minnesota Vikings as he contributed a team-high 4 tackles as well as pitched in 1 pass deflection. Jayron Kearse was in the Seahawks backfield for the majority of the game as he contributed 3 TFL.

The underdog has had success when these two teams meet as they have gone 6-2-2 ATS in their last 10 meetings. A 7-point spread is a little high for a preseason game as we won’t see much time out of the starters in which case means anything can happen. The Cardinals will try to get more production out of their 1st overall selection in this past draft as Kyler Murray struggled against the Raiders, and I expect him to play better as he has 2 games under his belt. The Cardinals will need to improve on the defensive side of the ball if they want to keep this game close as the Vikings have won their first two games solely based on their offense. Final Score Prediction, Minnesota Vikings win but fail to cover ATS 28-24.
