Buffalo Bills 2019 Season Preview - NFL Picks & Predictions

Last Updated: 08/13/2019 at 10:43 AM ET

The Buffalo Bills enter the 2019 NFL season with the hope of making a significant jump from a 6-10 record a year ago. For Buffalo to make the postseason, second year QB Josh Allen will have to show that he has the ability to be a franchise quarterback. The Bills finished 30th in total offense in Allen’s first season under center and have provided him with more options to grow.

Buffalo has one of the most talented running backfields in the league with LeSean McCoy being backed up by rookie Devin Singletary, Frank Gore, and T.J. Yeldon. Slot receiver Cole Beasley was brought in from Dallas to provide a security blanket in the passing game for Allen.
The Buffalo Bills feature one of the most underrated defensive units in football, that kept them in plenty of games in 2018. Houston DT Ed Oliver was selected by Buffalo with the ninth pick of the NFL Draft and will make an immediate impact up front. Second year LB Tremaine Edmunds racked up 121 tackles and will continue to anchor the linebacking corps.

The Buffalo secondary is without a doubt the strength of a unit that could crack the top ten this season. S Jordan Poyer posted a career high 100 tackles and intercepted four passes last season.

The Bills have one of the most favorable schedules in the league and have stability in the coach ranks. If Josh Allen shows improvement and the defense continues to play at a high level, Buffalo could challenge for a playoff spot. Take the Bills to exceed their season win total. Final Season Prediction, Buffalo Bills Over 7 Wins.
