Buccaneers at Saints 9/13/20 - NFL Picks, Betting Odds, & ATS Predictions

The Buccaneers have definitely improved their chances on the year with the additions the team has made. The Saints have really started to look to have a good year starting this season. The difference is the Saints are an older team that is going to look to have some changes made if they want to remain competitive, but the Buccaneers are a team that was younger and decided to go after some older free agents.

The main player that made the splash headlines for the Buccaneers was the number of Patriots players the Tampa Bay team went after. The Buccaneers ended up getting Tom Brady in free agency and oddly managed to get Rob Gronkowski as well from the Patriots. The tandem here if they both come back healthy will definitely help the Buccaneers be seen as a major threat. Tampa ended up getting some shoring up on their offensive line with Tristan Wirfs being picked up in the draft from Iowa. Now, the Bucs even helped to pick up some defensive help in the draft as well with Antoine Winfield Jr.

The Saints are looking to have another great season out of Drew Brees. The problem is Brees is older and will have to stay healthy for the team. One thing that the Saints did was sign some insurance by getting Jameis Winston signed as a backup. On the defensive side of the ball the Saints did lose Vonn Ball. The Saints did have a total of 4 draft picks and with their first pick ended up getting Brees a new center in Cesar Ruiz from Michigan.

With the signing of Tom Brady the Buccaneers are definitely looking like a contender on the year. The Saints for their part are looking like a team that could really come to start the transition to Winston if Brees does not produce like the Saints need him to. Now, what could make a difference is  the fact that Brady does not have Belichick to help guide him and has to adapt to a new set of receivers as well.

Okay, so the Saints are almost 7 point favorites early on. However, the Saints are looking to an aging Brees who has started to get an injury riddled past and that could make him gun shy at times. The Buccaneers are going to be adapting to a decent offense that Brady can lead, but will need to adjust to. Look for the Saints to rely on the aging Brees to pull out the win, but the 7 point spread is too much for the Saints to cover. Final Score Prediction, New Orleans Saints win but fail to cover 24-21.
