The Cleveland Browns visit the New Orleans Saints on Sunday in Week 2 of the NFL regular season at Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Browns tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers in their season opener on Sunday 21-21. Cleveland rallied from 14 points down during the fourth quarter to tie the score to send it to overtime. An attempted field from 42 yards by Zane Gonzalez with 9 seconds remaining in OT was blocked by the Steelers.

New Orleans lost its opening game 48-40 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Saints secondary was eaten alive by Tampa Bay quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick who time and time again beat the defensive backs with precision passing. Drew Brees did all he could to win throwing for 439 yards and three touchdowns. However, the defense allowed Tampa Bay to score on 6 of its first 7 possessions. After Week 1 quarterback Tyrod Taylor has 197 yards passing, one touchdown and one interception for Cleveland. Taylor is the team’s leading rusher as well with 77 yards and one touchdown. Carlos Hyde rushed for 62 yards and one touchdown. Jarvis Landry is the leading receiver with 7 receptions for 106 yards, while Josh Gordon has the only touchdown reception for the team. Joe Schobert leads the team in tackles with eight, while Myles Garrett is the sacks leader with 2.0.

Drew Brees has 439 yards passing and three touchdowns for the Saints. Alvin Kamara is the leading rusher with 29 yards and two touchdowns. Michael Johnson is leading the team in receiving with 16 receptions for 180 yard and one touchdown. Kamara and Ted Ginn Jr. also have touchdown receptions. The leading tackler for the Saints is Demario Davis with 8, while the Saints did not post any sacks in Week 1.

The Browns stayed close to the Steelers in Week 1 in part because of the driving rain that fell the entire game. Under the Superdome roof the Browns will not get the equalizing factor that weather often is. The New Orleans defense must rebound from a poor performance, and expect Drew Brees to have his way with the Browns defense and put up big numbers in Week 2. Final Score Prediction, New Orleans Saints win and cover ATS 31-17.
