After having a horrible season last year, the Browns will be looking to Baker Mayfield to make the difference for the offense and Denzel Ward to help shore up the defensive backfield. However, as both of these players are projected starters for the Browns they most likely will only play a couple of snaps.

In the scrimmage against the starting defense for the Browns Mayfield was unable to move the offense at all. However, when Mayfield faced the Browns second string defense he was able to do decent. Tyrod Taylor was able to play really well against the second string defense. Taylor in the scrimmage, as the backup, was able to move the ball fairly easily and had two scoring drives and even had 6 completions in a row at one point in the game. The Giants need to have some luck in the defensive backfield. The Giants lost Sam Beal to an injury and the Giants were left scrambling to find a replacement for the starter. To help combat the injury the Giants ended up signing Leonard Johnson who used to play under Dave Gettleman.

What will be an interesting aspect to the Giants will be the play of Saquon Barkley. Barkley was the second pick of the draft this season and played really well in Penn State. However, after having his reps lessened in practice some critics have been speculating about a potential injury or fatigue setting in early.

The Giants are a young team, but have some great leadership with Beckham and Manning on the offensive side. Both of these older players have really turned into some great mentors for the younger players. The Browns have just to much inexperience to be a threat in the game and even with Taylor or Mayfield running the offense it will be hard for the Browns to do much at all. Final Score Prediction, New York Giants win and cover ATS 21-10.
