The week six NFL schedule will get underway with a Thursday night matchup between the Denver Broncos and Arizona Cardinals from State Farm Stadium. The Broncos started the season off with consecutive victories, but come into this contest looking to snap a four-game losing streak. On Sunday, Denver allowed 203 rushing yards to Los Angeles RB Todd Gurley during a 23-20 home loss. Emmanuel Sanders caught seven passes for 115 yards and a touchdown in a losing effort for the Broncos.

Through six games, Denver ranks 12th in the league in total offense and is scoring 20.0 points on average. Arizona has shown signs of improvement on a defense that ranks 24th in yards allowed and gives up 23.2 points per contest. The Arizona Cardinals have lost five of their six games to start the season and are in store for a long season under the leadership of rookie head coach Steve Wilks. The Cardinals only win came two weeks ago at San Francisco by a 28-18 final score. On Sunday, Arizona was outgained by 142 yards during a 27-17 loss at Minnesota. Rookie QB Josh Rosen threw for 240 yards and was intercepted once on the afternoon.

For the season, Arizona ranks last in the league total offense and is scoring jus 13.7 points per game. Denver will look to bounce back with a defense that ranks 27th in yards allowed and surrenders 25.7 points per game.

Denver LB Shane Ray has a high left ankle sprain and his status for this contest is uncertain. Both teams are in desperate need of a victory to keep spirits up. The Broncos have been a shell of their former selves defensively. Look for both offenses to move the ball and push this game over the total.
