The Buffalo Bills are set to visit Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan for a Week 3 preseason clash against the Detroit Tigers. The Buffalo Bills come into this matchup with a 2-0 record, and they will be looking to continue their success after winning their recent game against the Carolina Panthers, 27-14. Matt Barkley looks like a valuable option at the backup QB spot as he connected on 8 of his 10 attempts for 110 yards and a TD. Cole Beasley should be the Buffalo Bills top target this season, and he proved that against the Panthers as he recorded a team-high 5 receptions for 44 yards.

The Buffalo Bills were solid on the defensive side of the ball against the Carolina Panthers, especially when it mattered as they held them to only 1 score in the 2nd half. Deon Lacey had a big game from the middle for the defense for the Buffalo Bills as he contributed a team-high 8 tackles and 1 TFL. Kevin Johnson had a solid game in the secondary as he recorded an interception which he returned 70 yards for a TD. The Detroit Lions come into his game with a 0-2 record, and they will be looking to rebound after dropping their recent game against the Houston Texans, 30-23. David Fales had a big game under center for the Detroit Lions as he connected on 12 of his 19 attempts for a total of 226 yards and a TD. WR Andy Jones is trying to work his way into the WR rotation after seeing limited time during 2018, and he showed his potential with 2 receptions for 60 yards against the Texans.

The Detroit Lions have struggled a ton on the defensive side of the ball during the preseason as they have allowed their opponents to combine for 61 points through 2 games. 2nd-year safety Miles Killebrew had a big game in the secondary for the Detroit Lions as he contributed 6 tackles and 1 TFL. Andrew Adams looks like a potential starter after pitching in 4 interceptions for the Buccaneers last season, and he showed his ball-hawking abilities with an interception against the Texans.

These two teams have been on the opposite side of the spectrum during the preseason as the Bills are undefeated and have looked impressive on the offensive side of the ball while the Lions have had troubles on both sides. Veteran QB Matt Barkley has had an impressive preseason as he has thrown for 236 yards and 2 TDs, and he should pick apart a defense that has not held an opponent under 30 points thus far. The Bills made it a priority to surround the QBs with WR options this offseason, and they addressed that which has been a difference-maker. Final Score Prediction, Buffalo Bills win and cover ATS 31-17.
