Fromm passed for 65 yards including a 42-yard reception on fourth down in the final drive of the game.
Buffalo held out several of its starters and is expected to do the same on Saturday against the Bears. Andre Smith had eight tackles to lead Buffalo on defense while Mike Bell and Damar Hamlin each had a quarterback sack for the Bills defense. Wide receiver Stefon Diggs has been listed as questionable due to a knee injury and will likely not see action on Saturday versus Chicago. Star Quarterback Jake Allen did not play on Friday versus the Lions and is likely to sit out until the final preseason game.
Chicago opened its preseason schedule with a 20-13 victory over the Miami Dolphins. The Bears put up 339 total yards while allowing 326. Rookie quarterback Justin Fields completed passes for 142 yards and one touchdown while veteran Nick Foles and Andy Dalton saw limited playing time. Artavis Pierce was the leading rusher for Chicago with 50 yards.
On the defensive side of the ball, Chicago was led by Duke Shelley with six tackles, while Daniel Archibong collected a quarterback sack and DeAndre Houston-Carson picked off a Miami pass. Chicago has added former Philadelphia offensive lineman Jason Peters, who is expected to compete for the starting left tackle position. Rookie Teven Jenkins was originally expected to play in that position but has been sidelined with a back injury since the start of training camp.
